so i’ve just decided to go to Paris tomorrow.
and when i say “just decided” I mean like literally 5 minutes ago I decided. to be honest, i have no idea why im going- other than i feel like getting out of Rennes and Dylan is celebrating his birthday in Paris! haha i should really stay in Rennes and move from my current dorm into the new dorm building across the hall this weekend, but since I have from the 4th to the 10th to make the transition I’m going to use all of it and party it up in Paris in the meantime.
However. this last minute trip means one thing, and one thing only for tonight:
dun. dun. dun….
1. pick up my shit.
2. pack for paris.
3. pack room slightly (i.e. start to pack up my shiz for the big move).
4. write some letters (two down so far!).
5. deal with all my email/ DU credit approvals etc.
6. eat dinner.
7. wash dishes.
8. make sweet love to paolo nutini. <3
And there you have it.
that is my plan for ce soir. i lead a riveting life, i know. teehee.
i’ve neglected you lately. i know. Does i’m sorry work in this situation? Hmm…
Well, needless to say, things have been crazy here lately. LOTS of birthdays and enough juicy drama to last a year, let alone a few weeks. Enough to make me fall behind in reading for my classes and to make my room a literal war zone. I have a broken mirror, uncooked pasta in my bed and somehow i’ve lost my one and only spoon. I’ve been subsisting off of dried soup packets and drinking them out of my bowl. I actually had soup for breakfast this morning. lol.
Anyway, it’s been a blast- if you can’t tell.
& although I’ve been absent lately there are a million things that i keep thinking i need to blog about. I actually have a “blog” section of my to-do list. How dorky am I? That’s a rhetorical question, btw. lol Basically, absence has made my heart grow even fonder for my dear readers :)
I’m back bitch. So make sure ur RSS feed is working. haha.
The most dreaded day of the week is upon us. Especially when your weekend has been as colorful like mine, Mondays are particularly painful.
My roommate and I had an end of summer party, a little shindig if you will, on Saturday and this is the best photo:
I think it says a lot about that night. Actually there were very few photos taken, but I think you get the idea. We converted a closet door and 4 plastic storage boxes into a pretty badass flip-cup table and had a great turnout. Not so much from my DAM friends, but that’s ok, Ilana and some Tri-Delt friends showed up which was a nice addition to Emily’s friends from work. I was feeling a bit cheeky and invited our neighbors across the way as well (yes, that includes the neighbor who saved me from the squirrel). Overall, I’d say it was a success.
Also, I sold my couches (finally, YAY!) and so our living room is very bare. Here is a secret photo I took out my kitchen window of the guy who bought them:
It did make movie night with our neighbors Collin & Frank (who really isn’t a neighbor because he is crashing on Collin’s couch but that’s just semantics) rather interesting though. Why we didn’t go to their apartment, I have no idea, but we ended up watching the King of California on our floor in sleeping bags.
Oh. And I saw that damn mouse again. 1, 2, and now 3 times it has visited me. What makes it even worse is that no one else ever sees it. I swear I am NOT hallucinating. I still need to tell my landlord about it. meh. mondays.
